HISTORY OF HONESTY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Before the inception of Honesty International School (HIS), formally known as Honesty Private School (HPS), the school started as a tutorial class under the name Honesty Tutors, in an uncompleted building, by Mr. James Lartey-Lartey and assisted by Mr. Wisdom Ocansey and Mr. Emmanuel Odai. The weak academic foundations observed in the pupils of Honesty Tutors called for an all-round, well-designed educational structure as well as a proper supervision and monitoring of the performances of the pupils so as to build and develop the Nigerian child towards relevance and excellence in life.

To this effect and many more, on the 23rd of September 1996, Honesty Private School (HPS), now Honesty International School (HIS) was born. The visionary and transfo rmative agenda towards relevance and excellence highlights the significant academic achievements over the years in external examinations such as Common Entrance, AFED (Affordable for Formidable Educational Development) examinations and many more. Due to the challenges of losing some of her pupils to other secondary schools, and also to aid continuity and providing quality education, the school expanded her knowledge by opening a secondary level of education in 2010. Today, Honesty International School can boast of many graduates room various tertiary institutions in and outside Nigeria and still making waves in the 21st Century with more advanced methods of teaching and learning and continue to evolve with focus on technology integration, diversity and inclusivity.
